Camelot Nation, the philanthropic foundation behind the Krewe of King Arthur, is stepping up to support local high school marching bands with a lively fundraiser that blends Mardi Gras flair with a good cause.
The foundation will host Wigs and Wine 2025 on Saturday, May 24, from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Library, located at 3629 Prytania Street in New Orleans.
The fundraiser aims to ensure that student musicians have the resources they need before and after they march during Mardi Gras. Funds raised will benefit the Camelot Nation Arts Scholarship, which supports youth in the arts across the city.
Guests are encouraged to wear their most imaginative wigs for a spirited wig contest, with prizes awarded to the most standout styles as well as amazing raffle items.
The evening will also include an open bar. Attendees are asked to bring a bottle of wine to donate, adding a communal and celebratory twist to the night.
As the philanthropic partner to the Krewe of King Arthur and Merlin, Inc. Camelot Nation supports the causes of the Krewe through fundraising activities that give to those causes while strengthening the diversity and inclusiveness of our community.
Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased online at https://www.camelotnation.org/general-7
Guests must be 21 or older to attend.
